Caring for One Another with the Love of Christ
At Guthrie Grove, we believe the church is more than a place we attend—it's a family. Our Care Ministry exists to ensure that no one walks through life's joys or challenges alone.
Whether celebrating a new baby, supporting someone through illness, encouraging a college student, or walking alongside a family during a time of loss, we seek to reflect the love of Christ by caring for one another in practical and meaningful ways.
Scripture calls believers to "bear one another's burdens" (Galatians 6:2). Our Care Ministry seeks to live out that calling by providing encouragement, practical assistance, prayer, and compassionate support to members of our church family and our community.
This ministry is made possible through many faithful volunteers who serve behind the scenes with generosity, compassion, and love.

Care Ministry includes a variety of opportunities to both receive care and extend care to others, including:
Every act of care is an opportunity to share the love of Christ.
Deacons' Fund
Our Deacons' Fund provides assistance to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship or unexpected needs. Through the generosity of our church family, we are able to offer practical support during difficult seasons.
Visitation Ministry
Our Visitation Ministry reaches out to those who are homebound, hospitalized, in assisted living facilities, or unable to attend church regularly. Through visits, prayer, and encouragement, we seek to remind every person that they remain a valued part of our church family.
Prayer & Praise Chain
When needs arise or prayers are answered, our Prayer & Praise Chain helps our church family stay connected through prayer and encouragement. We believe prayer is one of the greatest ways we can care for one another.
Meal Ministry
Whether welcoming a new baby, supporting a family through illness, or caring for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one, our Meal Ministry provides practical help through home-cooked meals and coordinated meal trains.
Maryanne's Ministry
Maryanne's Ministry prepares and delivers meals to individuals and families within our church who are homebound, recovering, or experiencing difficult circumstances. Through simple acts of kindness, this ministry reminds people that they are loved and remembered.
College Encouragement
Each year, our church sends care packages to college students filled with snacks, gift cards, and notes of encouragement—helping them stay connected to their church family while away from home.
Care Ministry happens every week, but there are also special opportunities throughout the year for our church family to serve one another.
