This Sunday we gave thanks to all the men and women, sons and daughters, mothers and fathers who sacrificed their special moments so that we could have ours. To all the people who gave their life in service to our country. We will always be grateful for the sacrifice given.

This Sunday Pastor Andy gave a sermon entitled ‘Called to Act”. He started with a question and a verse as usual. The question was “Are people fighting for what they want anymore? It seems like we are stuck as a people. But we were made to act. We were made for something bigger. We were meant to be loved, and to love. When we slow down and look at the story of salvation, we see that all of it is from God, just as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:18–20. It begins with God’s calling, where His grace reaches into our lives and awakens a humbled awe that the God of the universe would pursue us. Then comes conviction, the Spirit’s holy sorrow pressing on our hearts, showing us our need to be rescued. That conviction leads to repentance, where the burden of sin loosens and the heart turns toward hope, and then to faith, a trustful rest in Christ alone. In that moment God declares us righteous in justification, giving peace and security as the verdict “righteous” settles over us. Through Christ’s death, God brings reconciliation, replacing hostility with warmth and welcome, and by His Spirit He brings regeneration, awakening new life, new desires, and new clarity. God then draws us into His family through adoption, giving us a sense of beloved belonging as we cry, “Abba, Father.” From there He shapes us through sanctification, producing growing hope as we see His hand forming Christ in us. He holds us fast in perseverance, giving confident endurance even when we feel weak. And all of this moves toward glorification, the eager anticipation of the day when everything broken is made whole and we are transformed into Christ’s perfect likeness. Truly, “all this is from God”—the reconciliation, the ministry, the message, the calling, the appeal, and even the invitation itself. Salvation is God’s work from beginning to end, and our hearts respond with worship, gratitude, and wonder.
